Create your own custom swimsuit design and sew it too! In this three-part series you will draft, fit, and sew your dream swimsuit, and walk away with the tools you need to continue designing with knits and specialty stretch fabrics.

In Part 1 (May 27th, 9:00am-12:00pm, 3 Hours), you will focus primarily on flat pattern drafting. You will start by creating a standard dartless knit bodysuit pattern to your custom measurements. Once your pattern is complete, you will cut a mockup suit in a sample fabric.

In Part 2 (June 3rd, 9:00am-12:00pm, 3 hours), Instructor will demonstrate proper fitting techniques, and you will fit your own body suit. You will then learn how to correct your flat patten based on the changes made during your fitting. Once corrected, your dartless bodysuit pattern block is ready for the designer touch! You will now begin creating your desired swimsuit design from your block!

In Part 3 (June 10th, 9:00am-1:00pm, 4 hours), you will continue with drafting your final design, and begin cutting into your final fashion fabrics. You will then begin to sew your swimsuit using a straight stitch sewing machine, and overlock machine, as well as applying learned techniques for adding elastic and other finishings to your suit.

Only 4 places! *Registration Ends MAY 24th , 2023 at Midnight.*
