In Fashion Flats: Party Dresses you will learn all about the basics of creating a crucial part of any collection. Fashion Flats are design sketches used by fashion designers as a tool in creating their designs. They are line drawings showing seam lines and detail placement on a garment. Flats can be hand drawn or computer generated, but they usually feature the front and back of a garment, and capture the silhouette of a design in 2 dimensions, as opposed to a 3-D illustration on a model.
