Prerequisite skills: None, but all levels welcome! 

Having so many great ideas at once can be hard! Where do you start? The answer is simple, start with a mood board! In this class you will learn how to create the perfect mood board for your new piece or collection. We will go over the importance of mood boarding, places you can pull images and inspiration from, and how to start translating it into your own brand!  A valuable part of the fashion design process!

Students will: 

·       Learn the importance of mood boarding for collections, 

·       Learn different sources of inspiration, 

·       Learn from instructor demonstrations/tutorials. 

·       Receive instructor feedback. 

·       Learn proper terminology used by fashion industry professionals.  

Please bring any fashion magazines, photos, fabrics, etc. you want for inspiration. If you don’t have any of these items, some materials will be provided by Rightfully Sewn Academy and its donors in order to promote and encourage a sustainable future in the fashion industry.

Feel free to bring any of the below supplies to class, if desired:

• Laptop

• iPad

• Items for inspiration (magazines, photos, fabrics, notions, whatever you want)
